How to use the PetFinder.com listing for viewing available SCHS animals.SCHS uses the free PetFinder.com to list available animals. Please note that cats appear first; dogs appear next. Every pet offered by SCHS will have our name displayed in the "Organization" column. However, if you fill out PetFinder.com's "Quick Pet Search" information on the left of this window and then hit "search", you will get a list that expands to include SCHS animals and animals held by other shelters, rescues, etc. in that zip code area. Once into this expanded list, you must always check under "Organization" to identify where the animal is located. Please note: This SCHS list is not complete. Nor does this list include animals who are not yet available. If you have lost a pet, contact the Shelter directly. Note: The PetFinder.com section takes a few minutes to load. Please wait a moment... News 15 has been kind enough to feature a pet of the week for us, the 1st Monday of each month.
Follow the link below and see who it is that Christain has with him.

Pet of the Week
<< Back • -- Brandi
Both of our Pet’s of the Week are just back from an exciting day at the Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital’s Open House. Brandi is a terrific little gal, sassy and sweet, she is spayed and about five years old. She rides in a car like a pro, is house trained and enjoys other animals and meeting new people. A bit shy at first, once she knows you she is has an “in your pocket” personality and loves to sit on your lap and be brushed. One look into her eyes and you can see that she is a gentle and loving soul with much left to give. Ernie
Ernie (along with his brother, Bert ) can be a real ham, stout and healthy with the most magnificent black and white coat, Ernie can be distinguished by the black spot on his chinnie-chin-chin. These boys are very entertaining and will make terrific additions to any home –solo or together, they are looking for action and fun. Let the good times ROLL! For more information on available animals you can email shelter@saukhumane.org or contact the shelter by phone at 356-2520 or check out the Available Animals. Upcoming Events
