How to Donate Money:
Donating money to the Shelter is a wonderful, much needed thing to do. And it's tax deductible! Below are ways to donate money:
Sauk County Humane Society


  1. Monetary donations: The Shelter must raise over 50% of its annual budget from sources like donations, fundraising events, grants, memorials, etc. Sauk County Humane Society is a private non-profit organization, and monetary donations are tax deductible! You can donate to our General Fund or to specific funds.

    You can talk with the Shelter Director about donating to a specific area of your choosing. Want to set up a fund in your name, or someone who has passed away? We can talk about it!

  2. the Shelter needs your support Memorials: Often, when a special pet, or pet-loving person, passes away, friends and family give memorials to the Shelter. These memorials can go into the General Fund, or into one of our special funds. There are options for having your loved one's name and even photo displayed at the Shelter as part of your memorial.

  3. "Third party" events: The Shelter receives income from events like birthday parties, neighborhood get-togethers, car washes, and events where kind people decide to give the Shelter the profits from their activity. Interested in details and ideas? Call the Shelter!

  4. Kennel Sponsorships: Help the Shelter by sponsoring one of our kennels! It's a great way to get your name, or company name, in front of thousands of Shelter visitors yearly!

  5. Honorariums: Let the Shelter be your source for the perfect retirement gift or "in honor of" a marriage, etc, gift! Make a donation to the Shelter, and give us the details. We will send out a lovely card letting the person(s) know you thought of him/her in this meaningful way!

  6. Bequests: Put the Shelter into your estate. There can be tax advantages to doing this. Curious? Speak to the Shelter Director at 356-2520 for details!
