Animal Control Services~
The Animal Control Department of the Sauk County Humane Society consists of a team with include; manager-Rose Zuch four years, Jon Greenwood three years, Cathy Metz and Brandon Luther.
We work together to cover all of Sauk County, 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. When on duty, we are available to pick up contained strays including injured, aggressive, and sick animals.
The Sauk County Humane Society's Animal Control team works with very limited equipment. Our equipment consists of a catchpole, net, and a snare. We are trained to use this equipment and continue to be educated through seminars. In order to do the job of animal control safely and effectively, there is a constant need for continuing education and updated equipment. Some of the basic equipment we would like to purchase would include; an extra catch pole, dog trap, bite stick, and a folding net.
The Animal Control team works together to keep the County and local areas safe by removing animals that may be in danger or pose danger to the general public. As we work day~to~day, we help the animals but even more so we help the public. We never know what to expect when heading out into the field; especially with no equipment to protect ourselves. We rely heavily on the Sauk County Sheriff's Department and the local Police Departments support and we greatly appreciate the assistance they provide.
If you would like to donate for equipment or training, or have any questions; please feel free to contact Rose Zuch at ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) or 608-356-2520.
