Venturing Club
The Sauk County Humane Society, in conjunction with Glacier’s Edge Boy Scout Council, has started a Venturing Club at the Shelter.
Venturing Clubs are designed for young adults (both boys and girls), ages 14 – 21. Each Venturing Club develops its own goals and
agenda, as a way to teach young adults leadership skills and citizenship values. The next Shelter Venturing Club meeting will be
Monday, December 17th at 6:30 p.m., at the Shelter in West Baraboo.” Meetings run approximately one hour and include presentations
like the Pet CPR program given at the November meeting by Angela Bubolz, a Vet Technician from Hill Dale Veterinary Hospital. At the
December meeting Peter Williams of Alpha Canine Services will teach Club members how to train dogs. Venture Clubs are a great
opportunity to receive hands on training, experience, and make new friends. If you have questions or want to join, contact Wendy
Schneider at 356-2520 ext. 11.”
